Hardcastle Auto Body - San Jose - 1970 Chevelle Restoration Project

Initial Teardown

Beginning to tear down an old classic is probably one of the more pleasing tasks in the long road of a full restoration. It is as simple as grabbing some wrenches, choosing a place to start, and having at it. Care must be taken to keep parts organized and labeled to avoid problems when it comes time to reassemble. Sometimes you can uncover some interesting things along the way. In this case there was an old toy gun, a Skelator sticker on the glove box, and what seemed to be a home for some Rats under the back seat.
