The Undercarriage
The under-side of the body is an area that is subjected to some of the harshest elements. Fresh from the assembly line, they came lightly coated with paint and a tar-like undercoating. After thirty plus years, the coatings start to break down and the sheet metal begins to rust. In order to rectify the situation, the body must be removed from the frame to gain complete access for a thorough reconditioning.
